The new AVATAR 10.5mm Hi-g lens designed specifically for cameras with large digital image sensors.  It features mechanical design and construction for very Hi-g applications; crash testing, impact sled, airborne and related environments.  All optics feature high-efficiency multi-layer coatings with digital resolution that exceeds 6-million pixels. In addition, clamps lock both focus and aperture rings.

The lens plate on each camera is removed and replaced by a precision stainless-steel flange mount.  The Avatar lens is now attached to this new mount, which also has a built in C-Mount.  In addition, an optional heavy duty Nikon F-Mount is available.  An accessory Diascope measures the exact back-focus of each camera to determine the necessary spacer shims to install between the mount and the camera.  Thereafter, Infinity focus is achieved and the scales on all lenses are now accurate. Avatar, C-Mount & F-Mount lenses will now focus correctly without further mechanical adjustments.

This is the only Hi-g lens with a 28mm image circle. It has been tested and functioned perfectly, without any image shift, on an actual sled with a force of 115 Gs. The nearest competitor Hi-G lens can handle 38.5Gs. Our system fits the following cameras: The Redlake HG-100K/HG-XR, DRS LTTC, Phantom (Vision Research) v9.0 v7.1 v5.1 (each camera mount has a built-in precision c-mount - 17.52 mm back focus).
